Help at build my first watercooling loop

Hello everybody on OCN!

I'm new to watercooling and I was wondering if a single 360 Radiator would be enough for a i7 960 that's overclocked to around 4 GHz and a GTX 670?

My case is a Corsair Obsidian 800D and I have a picture to show what I had in mind for a loop338

Yes it will be fine, as long as you build the setup efficiently, using less piping, good bleeding to ensure no air bubbles and use of high, well installed CPU and GPU blocks. Also, don't go cheap on a pump. The faster the better, but you don't want one that is too loud. Also make sure the Rad is good quality, with fans such as the noctua NF-F12's and so on.

Hope this helps.

Just one 360mm radiator for both a GPU and a CPU is kinda of cutting it close. It's definitely better than an air-cooled setup, but you might find performance below your expectations. A lot of Corsair 700D/800D users (including myself) are running multiple radiators. I've stacked my radiators, a lot of people put a 360 where you've got yours and a 240 where the lowest HDD cage goes. Also, it seems like you're going with one of the reservoirs that would allow a built-in pump. Save yourself the hosing and the hassle and try to get a built-in pump. I've got an XSPC dual-5.25" bay res and pump combo and couldn't be happier.

Let me know if you need pictures to show you what I mean.

Should be enough if you keep the loops short, and get a good pump.. The New Swiftech Apogee Drive II (CPU/Pump ComBo), is pretty nice, I just put one into one of my builds.. Also adding the addition rad isn't going to give you that much more cooling performance maybe a degree or 1/2 if your lucky, not worth the extra dollars.. and it also depends on the temp of the surrounding environment, and CPU Block Quality.

That's about perfect. I don't know if you've got a 480 up top, but I've got twin 360's and that's WAY overkill....and I've got a 470 (heat MONSTAH!!). Another option is a 360 where you have the 480 and a 240 where you've put the 240, or a 360 and a 140 at the back of the case just to the left of the CPU. These two threads have different setup options.

That pump looks like quite a bit of overkill....but it couldn't hurt. Also, look into a pump that sits ON your res. I know they sell them for the FrozenQ style of reservoirs.

to be honest I don't really want any pump on the res! and the choice of the pump from aquacomputer is also for future use but it'll do for just a 480 and a 240 rad and such:D
