I guess a poll for worse OS should be next with contenders like OS/2 Warp, Windows ME and Vista up for the title.
DOS was ok, but it was somewhat limited (even for it's day): single user, no sane method for multi-tasking, lack of any decent scripting ability. It seemed particularly limited back in the early 80s as I'd sooner have a desktop computer running a BASIC interpreter than a CLI environment that was essentially only useful as a launcher and file manager. I recall having I AmsDOS and CP/M disks for my Amstrad CPC 464 that I'd have to manually run from BASIC and the whole thing seemed utterly pointless.
Why the OS/2 hate? It's one of the few OSs I've never used but from all accounts that I've read, it ran circles around Win3.x
