That is not the only point to exercises and experiments like this. The main point to them is to further our research and development of robotics. Apparently you think the best way to advance robotic technology is through smoke and mirrors, ie programming the robot to cheat, rather than by using advanced mathematics, signal processing, logic and superior computation to achieve a similar goal.
