UPDATED! see page 2!

Project Tsunami
So this will basically end up being a build log, once i get everyones advice i will change the title and move forward with this log
What i'd like to know is what everyone thinks will be the approximate cost of the following rig at Christmas (USD)

What I Have:
OCZ Gamextream 700W (Allready Bought)
Thermaltake Tsunami (Allready Bought)

What I Want:
Asus P5B Deluxe
Core 2 Duo E6600
2Gb G-Skill DDR2 800 HZ
2 x 250Gb Seagate Perpendiculars OR 2 x 250 Gb Western Digital SE16's
nVidia 8800 GTS (that's the cheap one right?)

I'm trying to figure out what i'll be able to afford and have left over for WC...
Feel free to tear my rig apart and rebuild yourself, i wanna hear what you can throw together. Quad core is too expensive. right now this is pushing my budget even without the dx 10 card. Opinions on absolutely everything are welcomed and appreciated
Cheers!

$800 for the 'What I want' parts, excluding the 8800 GTS. The 8800 GTS starts at around $500....

A single one should run fine.... SLI... I don't think so. But you can always add this for the second card.

The Quad Core release will mainly have an affect on the high end CPUs. Note that in November only the QX6700 will be released, which will be priced around $1,000. That will have little to no impact on the price of the $180 E6300. The X6800 will probably drop a bit (and phased out), but I don't see any other of the Core 2 Duos dropping in price.

Depending on what impact the RD600 and possibly a new nVidia board have, the motherboard might drop a little, but only like $10 - $15 imo. The board will not be outdated, since it will support Kentsfield.

RAM prices have been fluctuating a lot lately. This is the item where you *might* be lucky, but prices might go up even more as well... thus, I'd expect the same price just to be sure.

HDDs: don't expect and price drops here...they're already dirt cheap. Maybe picking up two 160GB/16MB cache drives can save you a little money.

$750 absolute bottom estimate.

It's a really good overclocking set up. However, you mentioned SLI, and the P5B Deluxe is not that good for it (x16, x4 bandwidth in SLI mode, and with the 8800's that will likely be too much of a limitation).

Just a little hint mate.

Get the Seagates with Perpindicular recording..Great performance and will serve you a little better than those Western digitals.

I'd look into 4x 80GB S HDD's. The speed will be much faster but your CPU usage will go up a little. (Which means NOTHING to your E6600)

Very good to know about the power supply i imagine many will chose to do this if the power hungry rumours are infact true.
Also, you mentioned that the E6300 would not be affected, do you think this is true of the 6600 i'm looking to get? (also were your estimates earlier based on you thinking it was a 6300 i wanted?)
I need the drive space of at least 500Gb i was thinking of even going with 2x320's if the price seems right. (extra 15$ each...)

Also with the P5B i've conisdered going with the P5W, but i want RAID support, and the raid is more important to me than the SLI. Also, is it possible one of these boards will fix their respective problems in a future bios? If so wouldn't the newer 965 chipset be a safer choice (more room to grow?)
Thanks to everyone so far!
