Firstly great forum,
i have couple of questions about a new build i have just completed.
I'll list the relevant comonents first then as the questions
Mobo - Rampage iv Formula
CPU - i73930K
PSU - AX850
GPU- Asus GTX 680 TOP
RAM - Corsair Vengeance 16gb 4x4gb 2133 (11 11 11 27)
Cooler - Corsiar H100 watercooling
I have just managed to OC to 4.0GHZ but i just wanna check if i did it ok, and also if my Idle temps look ok
I set Ai tuner to manual,
Base clock frequency set to 100
Turbo Ratio = by all cores - then multiplier set to 40 - gave me 4.0ghz
i also made Vcore 1.250 - research told me that 1.250 is about right for 4.0ghz
i manually changed Memory Frequency to 2133, and set voltage to 1.5 (specified of ram stick) and set timings to 11 11 11 27
everything else i left on AUTO
I hit F10 saved,
it then booted up ok and everything seems ok, but on the ROG forums i was told my idle temps are WAY too high? this is what temps are showing currenty:
