Phenom X6 1100T

Is this CPU meant for 4ghz? I OC'ed it to 4ghz and the temps are reasonable and it's at 1.404 V compared to when I had it at 3.6ghz I was getting 1.5V+ and the temps were pretty high. Any reasons for this?

i think your system is telling you to clock it higher and the voltage might go lower. i noticed when you oc using the fsb, it takes less volts. did you?

what are reasonable temps?

With the stock cooler the "reasonable" temps are around 45C and yes I did and it seems to take less as I go up from 3.6 to 4, but at 3.6ghz the temps were around 52C+ (this is using the stock cooler)

i suppose that 45 is idle. you gonna need a better cooler and bring it down to 30 before you prime it. but if you can game at 4GHz without issues, then good. with the 212 revo you should be able to lower your volts even further. great job!

man, you got the sabertooth - that's why.

Lock it down to a quad core, and go crazy.

Look at that, fails to even warm up, 1.408v @ 4200mhz with a 3ghz Northbridge.

I just ordered a Enermax ETS-T40 for the time being, someone recommended it over the 212 and I decided to go for it.
