Hey guys, quick q. I know this is the N7 thread but should I get it? My family has an Ipad but I'm lookin to get my own tab for just readin and surfin the web while chillin mostly. It'd be also awesome to have for work at lunch and breaks. Should I take the plunge and get the Nexus 7?

My Nexus 7 arrived today, and so far I am really enjoying it! Now that I have it in my hands, I know that I don't want to put it in a folio type case.
The weight is perfect, and the 7in form factor is great. This is my first post on here with it. :-)

I got lucky and got a pretty much pristine tablet. I have read about some people having issues with the screen popping up on the left side. Luckily mine is almost flush. It's just raised by a tiny hair. If I hadn't read about it online I wouldn't have even noticed that. :-)

I hope that all of you also got lucky with your Nexus tablets.

Just got mines today biggrin.gif only sad thing was box came with a big dent but idc as long as the tablet wasn't touched. It's soooo fast no slow downs for me what so ever. I kind of wish the screen was a little bit more vibrant like my galaxy nexus.

Wee, got home to a brand new Nexus 7! thumb.gif

Jelly Bean interface is very smooth. Much smoother than my Android phones on ICS (granted, those were just 1GHz S2 w/512MB RAM). Just finished installing apps and it's encrypting right now so haven't had much of a chance to play with it yet. frown.gif

I got a chance to play with one at a supplier (demo model only). It's very similar to my Samsung although I agree that its not the most vibrant screen. Curious on the battery life though.

Quick question: Is the N7 compatable with all types of webpages? Java/Flash etc? I'm thinking this might turn into my primary source for just surfing the web/reading so I'd certainly like to have to be able to load all different webpages...

Yes it does, but not Flash on Chrome unfortunately. If you want Flash, try other browsers like ICS Browser+ or Dolphin HD for that.
