Hello, I currently have an Athlon II x3 450 with an Asrock 970 extreme motherboard. My current cpu is bottlenecking my gtx 570 in the games that I enjoy the most such as Battlefield 3 and GTA IV. There are 4 cpus that I am looking at as possible upgrades:
Phenom II x6 1045t: http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=1724262&CatId=4432
Phenom II X4 975 BE: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819103924
FX-4170: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819106009
FX-6100: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819103962
I am not afraid of overclocking but am still learning and have not had much luck with stability. Please help me decide on which cpu is the best for gaming. Thanks
Edit: So after some more research, I think my decision is between the Phenom II x6 1045T and Phenom II x4 975 BE. I would be overclocking either one but cannot find a straight answer on which is better for gaming.
