The 6870 is only barely worse than a 560 ti, while using less power and costing less. The 6930 and 6950 easily beats the 560 ti, no competition.

http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/geforce-gtx-560-amp-edition-gtx-560-directcu-ii-top,2944-16.html 83 vs. 136? Yikes.
You can also ignore noise and temp charts, since almost all of the 6870s were non-reference. Much like a lot of the 560/560/560ti/6860 cards were.
Nvidia is doing fantastic with this generation, but nvidia killed nothing last two gens. AMD won at everything execpt: tessellation (barely), and top end performance (no answer to 580).
This whole notion of AMD always sucking ticks me off all the time. The only place I have ever seen an AMD fan who has an argument for their preference is OCN. Every PC gamer or builder I have met in person claims nvidia is better without having a reason for why they think so.
Where did this myth that the 560 ti was a great card come from? Because it was quite stinky at its price point.

I have a friend with a stock speed XFX 2GB 6870. I have to OC to 950mhz before I catch up in metro 2033. In BF3, his looks so much more smooth and I clock at 1000mhz 24/7 (tested on the same monitor).

Can I have what you're smoking? seriously there is no way a 6870 or even a 6950 will beat a 560 Ti. I used to have a direct cu and it stomped on my friends sapphire 6870 and was on par with another friends 6950 direct cu. Either you have something wrong with your drivers or your card is underperforming tongue.gif

6950 is 8% faster at 1200p and 14% faster at 1600p according to TPU.

as for me, ive got a ridiculous 6870 that i am more than happy to get rid of. i will most likely be going with Nvidia this time around and if the 660/ti is worth it, ill buy one.
Hah. They'd never ever wait that long (unless something awful happens to 28nm all of the sudden).
Your pleas will go unheard. They have money to make.

Anything else would be incredibly stupid on Nvidia's part.

... I'm betting that 1160 number will be right for the ti version and 960 for the non-TI. Since a GTX670 has 1344, there's too big of a drop between that 1344 and 960 (compared to the 1536 in the GTX680 to the 1344 in the 670)

Your numbers make no sense.

OCN you have morphed me so much....When I was browsing Newegg, i was disqualifying 680s and 670s....based on their looks! LOL.
I want a well performing 670\660ti that looks good too. 680 costs too much for now.

I hope Nvidia doesn't do anything with Ti models this gen. Not because they're bad or anything...I just don't want to wait for a Ti to release lol. I recently bought an EVGA GTX 560 Ti 2GB and it's awesome, but if the 660 comes out with Nvidia planning a Ti in the works, I'll be ticked. I may upgrade GPUs via the EVGA step up program, and I have until late August to upgrade. Now if Nvidia is gonna do a Ti this gen, it means it will release well after that time period. And I'll have upgraded to a less awesome model with a very similar price tag. If they don't do a Ti, people get a card with performance in between the 660/660 Ti (I'm assuming), and don't have to pay as much for performance the way they have to for a full on Ti.
