A few weeks back after trying multiple different ATIflash commands with different HD7950 and HD7970 BIOSs I got a message after doing some type of command (I forget now).
The message was. "You GAY" with a smile face.

I got a kick out of that. The card has some type of BIOS flash protection on it that is protecting the shaders from exploitation.
I think I was close when I got that message. The card would not boot though but if I put it in HD7950 bios switch position then booted up I could hot switch to HD7970 BIOS and run HWinfo64 and see the unlocked Shaders making it a HD7970 but card not stable for any type of load so I think I need to figure out a few more steps that I am missing. I am thinking the power is ok but more than likely there is a problem with the memory timings not working out or some other software lock that is related to the "You Gay" smiley message I got
