should i use a specific VRM cooler? or shall i just get more fans on my case?
I don't know what case you have but your mainboard has 8+2 power phases. Your psu seems also very good. Hence cooling the vrm is a good solution, maybe with some better case fans? Personally I would love to buy some case fans but my budget is a bit tight. If you don't mind you can buy a better mainboard. There are ones with 12+1 power phases. The other solution would be to analyze what programs is the bottleneck and search for a software solution. Currently I'm quite happy with my unlock and overclock. But I'm looking for a better mainboard that also supports iommu?

I've tested with prime 95 on blend for 8 hours with no problems. Guess i could run it longer

cpu load line calibration, you might not have it or your cpu might not support it.

have a look in the bios and see if you have it on the oc page of bios.

try just ocing the cpu and lose all other overclocks ,nb and ram .

i dnt believe extreme is for "liquid nitrogen cooling" ocers use it regularly to minimize the v droop.i would do it to if i could find the llc setting in my bios, but i just bloody cant,it sucks.

op-your problem may lie elsewhere.i m given to understand you are increasing you fsb to oc you cpu.doing that positively oces your nb.did you change the nb's voltage?first of all test your memory with memtest, then we will move on to nb.

as a sidenote your nb frequency of 2670mhz looks quite high, lower you fsb to reach 2400-2500mhz and see if you still crash.

theres a few things that could be crashing your pc. what i would do first:
try dropping your ht link to 7x. im thinking this is the culprit causing the crashes.

does your motherboard also give the percentages for llc ? high should be good. how much does cpu-z say your cpu voltage drops when its stressed ?

is your dram voltage set at 1.65v ? it should be but double check. your ram at 1424 is fine for now to check for stablity. make sure timings are loose for now too. keep them at 9-9-9-24-2t. that should keep them out of the crash variables.

and if that crashes, try dropping your cpu-nb to 9x. better to be lower and see if that it is it. you shouldnt have a problem running up to 2800mhz but youll might need to have 1.35v(maybe a bit less) on your cpu-nb voltage to keep it stable.
