Kingston are working with DABS on bringing you the excellent 128GB SSDNow V200 drive for a staggering £59.98 inc vat! You can grab one yourself, strictly while stocks last, over here.
However, it’s not clear that price can fall indefinitely.
What we’re seeing now is the result of memory production improvements and market challenges.

A 128GB SSD for roughly 90$, SSD prices are going down quickly. I was thinking of holding up until October, but I don't know if I can resist any longer the temptation of buying one.

Nice to see that the large competition is bringing the prices down. Now if we can only get 1TB ssd drives to a reasonable price haha. Hey I can dream!

I would rather pay an extra £10 to get a drive which is almost twice as fast in terms of sequential reads and writes.

Its still great for bringing life into older laptops that are only sata2 since double the speeds would be impossible for that interface.

I've been eyeing the Samsung 830 128gb on dabs for £77, and as others said, I'd rather pay the little extra :l

Nice to see prices coming down more though, even if it is a less desirable drive.

I got an easy fix for that, spend all ur money on ur vacations(like I am doing).

Unfortunately I can't really have much of a summer holiday, due to a deadline. So I will go for an SSD as well as some other upgrade. biggrin.gif
As others have stated, I would also pick a different SSD even though a bit more expensive, like the Samsung 830. My point with the initial message is that it is good to see this price war spreading so that we can get more competitive prices.

Also, I wonder when the price drop will stop.

Exactly, this would be perfect for my old Atom N450 net-book which currently has an older 80GB PS3 hard drive in it.
