If you have a Mac from past 2007 (so with an Intel CPU) it's not only possible, but both supported and simple to do smile.gif

Instead of explaining the various steps of doing a Bootcamp dualboot, I trust the manuals from apple are more detailed: http://support.apple.com/manuals/#bootcamp

This is the way to do a dualboot however. If you want to remove MacOS entirely and just run Windows instead, a bit more work is required, but it's also doable.

Did booting from a Windows 7 cd got you at least in the windows installer?

He doesn't boot from DVD per default. Hold the alt key while starting the mac. Then you get to select a starting disk. If you DVD is not in the list, wait a while. it usually takes about 10-20 seconds for the DVD's to pop up.

Once you are in the installer, you will have to remove all partitions and make a new one. If the installer refuses to make a new partition, you will have to do this with a external program. Report back here for tips how to do that. But i hope that isn't necessary.
