I don't need the keypad. I don't care about backlights; they actually sound kind of annoying. The only requirement I have is that they have cherry brown or blue keys. I like a strong tactile feel from keys; I can't type properly on this squishy keyboard.

Filco Majestouch-2, Tenkeyless is very nice keyboard. I prefer tenkeyless (TKL) since its more ergonomic position for keyboard and mouse since its not that long. The one i posted comes with brown switches but it sounds like you would prefer the blue switches also.

That's a bit expensive, I would rather go under $100.

CM Quickfire TKL with blue cherry switches

http://www.ebay.com/itm/Pomotion-New-Cooler-Master-CM-Storm-QuickFire-Rapid-Mechanical-Gaming-Keyboard-/170773435734?pt=PCA_Mice_Trackballs&hash=item27c2e3d556

It's not build quite as well as the FILCO but its a decent keyboard for half the price.

That's a good deal; I'll probably end up getting that.

Yea, go with that one. If you want blue switches, that's the best deal for its build quality out there. The build quality is on par with the best brands out there. I have a Quickfire Rapid, granted mine's the Cherry MX Red version but I absolutely love it. I just find myself opening notepad and typing stuff because it feels so good. Haha.

Also if you want to get a keypad for when you do need to crunch numbers, you can find some for a few bucks. Who cares if they feel like crap compared to your mech keyboard, they get the job done for crunching numbers.

And if you want to do free super saver shipping (only adding a couple days to shipping time), you could get it from Amazon as well.

That way you could save a few bucks because it'd be about $6 cheaper since the eBay one would cost shipping. Besides I trust Amazon > eBay anyway so you might be the same way. thumb.gif

It's actually built by the same OEM that makes Filco keyboards, so it's build quality is very close if not the same. Of the videos's I've seen of Filco tenkeyless boards it looks exactly the same except for the branding.

Go for it, I have the blue version and love the tactile feel. Haven't tried brown switches yet but I know I prefer blues for gaming, and pretty much everything else, over blacks.

I also recommend the K90. I don't use the Macro, but it doesn't really bother me. But I love the keyboard!

I really do love the feel of Reds, for typing and gaming. Quickfire Rapid with any kind of switch you can't really go wrong. I recommend getting that cheap Blue if you like clicky and tactile, but if you want to pay a bit more I'd really suggest Reds, it's like typing on a cloud and isn't nearly as loud. It's all personal preference though. If you can't try out all the switches, at least read up on them a lot to find what seems to be the best fit for you. I don't have real meaty fingers so I wanted something light, quiet, and that would be the best for gaming but still be good at typing, so Reds were an all around best pick for me.

Amazon free shipping is only to the US unfortunately. They won't even ship that keyboard to Canada.

edit: Oh wait, it's $70 at Canada Computers, awesome.
