What couldn't you find? I posted a link to a store you can buy the Quickfire Rapid from that will ship anywhere in the world. And if you browse this forum, you'll find plenty of info on the keyboards made by Vortex that I listed.

KBC Poker with white backlight and black switches is looking mighty tasty at 99$ shipped.

I don't see that for $99 shipped on mechanicalkeyboards.com?

Also, I didn't know the Poker had backlight. Do you mean the PURE or RACE?

Technically it's not a keyboard, but hey, it's meant for games

I've looked into that and the Razer Nostromo, but I don't think they fit what I'm looking for. They're a really interesting piece of technology, though.

It seems like there are a lot of suggestions that are doubling up, though I'm surprised by the price. I was expecting to pay ~$150 for a good mechanical keyboard, but it seems like a lot of them are just below ~$100. Awesome.

I've found some places in Australia that sell the CM Storm QuickFire Rapid with Blacks, and I'm leaning towards that product. Is there any reason not to go for it, or is there a better alternative?

You can't go wrong with the Quickfire Rapid, it's a great build quality and reasonably priced. I'm using the very same keyboard with Cherry MX Reds. Blacks are my least favorite Cherry MX switch because they take a lot of pressure with high resistance, so after awhile you can easily get fatigued on them. I'd suggest getting a Quickfire Rapid with Reds, you'll love it. Check to see if there's anywhere in Australia that sells that version.

The unfortunate thing about Australian tech. stores is that they all need to ship out to you tongue.gif

I think I'm going to go for the QuickFire Rapid, but I just need to choose between the Reds and Blacks.

Hehe. Yea like I said blacks have a lot of resistance so it's not for everybody. I love my reds, but some people think they're too light. I don't see myself ever using a different kind of switch, they're exactly what I want in a switch.

Just remember long sessions with blacks can leave your fingers fatigued.
