Subbed! Prodigy builds are great wubsmiley.gif

lol after hearing some feedback from customers and peeps in internet, and some testing done by my workmate, it's starting to look like the ASUS's daughterboard is just a marketing gimmick and doesn't help overclocking at all, and may actually provide worse OC results than the ASRock's Z77 ITX board. EVGA's upcoming z77 itx board is starting to seem like a quite interesting product...
ITX systems shouldn't be built if you're looking for maximum performance. A moderate overclock can be easily achieved on any ITX board that supports overclocking chipset wise. A 4.2GHz (small/moderate overclock, usually @stock voltage or minor bump) 3570k has no problems running monster cards like 7970, 680 or even the 690.

Subbed! Looks good so far, can't wait to see it as it gets closer to completion.

The only thing I'm missing for my build is the Prodigy and my Raystorm and EK blocks and also RX240 rad will be coming in within a few days. Regarding the ITX boards, I have no problems reaching 4.5Ghz on my Asrock Z77E ITX board and that's with 1.16V... not much over the stock voltage. It's stable in Prime95 and was tested for a few hours. That's with watercooling though, I can't say much for aircoolers.

Thanks everyone for the feedback. i have my 670 and motherboard on the way. Should be here on Monday or Tuesday, then i will get some pics of the block on the card redface.gif

I have seen a few reviews of the asus board and all those extra VRMs don't seem to make that big of a difference. There is a good review of the Asrock board on Tweaktown.com and they got a 3770K almost up to 4.8 on the board.

thanks for all the subs guys, time for the 670 block unboxing

once again, good machining but with some issues in some unimportant areas. A tiny bit disappointed in the overall level of finish.
I'll have to wait 'till I see the blocks inside the case with the whole thing finished, but I don't think I like the new circle-thing EK has going on with their new products.

The general consensus seems to be that people don't like the new design... in all honesty i just went for it as they had a fullcover 670 block! thumb.gif But it is growing on me i would say, i saw the backplate as well that they are going to be releasing for the 670, might have to get that aswell!
