Hey all, i'm new to the forums and thought this would be the place to go for my overclocking problems tongue.gif
I looked up some overclocking tips and i ran into some issues. First off my computer will boot up then shut down then reboot and sometimes not show anything on the display. Next up there will be times where on start up it will say my over clock has failed...i followed a guide on how to do it with the 2500k and almost the exact same MoBo...please help!

-i5 2550k
-Asus p8z68
-800w rosewill lightning psu
-4x8GB G.skill Ares RAM
-EVGA GTX 680 SC Signature

Post up your current bios settings so we can have a look over them, i used to own the p8P67 board and spent countless hours tweaking it for overclocking.

To help with the double boot, go into advanced settings in the bios under apm, then turn on power by pcie

All looks ok, set vrm frequency to 350 and cpu current to 130%

What multiplier and voltage were you using when it failed the overclock?

Apologies, I've not been able to make out the pictures, I'm on my poor GPRS connection on my phone.

But for my Z68 board, the setting that solved the dual boot issue (which I'm told isn't hardware threatening, but annoyed me a lot) was disabling PLL overvoltage.

Doing this means the overall overclock potential is a bit lower, but as I'm on air, 4.5ghz for me with my current voltage means I don't see temps above 60, so I'm happy.

Give that a go. I'll check out your settings when I'm back at a desktop.
