7900GTO is basically a GTX with a lower RAM speed. The GTO for sure.

Nothing but trouble with the 7950's.
GTO is cheaper, safer, and can be OC'ed to a GTX.
I haven't had any problems with mine (only had it a week, upgraded froma 6600gt) Its purely awesome, i can run all games i have on full.

I say the GTO because of the price/performance ratio

GTO... if you can find one in stock anywhere. If you do them PM me right away cuz I'll buy it on the spot.

GTO = 650MHz core clock, 24 pipes
7950GT = 550MHz core clock, 24 pipes

I own a EVGA 7900GTO and love it. It overclocks higher than a 7900GTX's stock speeds (I've gotten to 725 core, 1700 mem) and is cheaper than the 7950GTs. The cooling is ample and whisper quiet, even in a water-cooled case. The performance is baffling for the price.

I can't really compare the two in real-world testing, but the GTO would probably outperform the 7950.

Only problem is finding one . . . got mine early before everyone discovered they were just underclocked GTXs and they sold out.

Trouble with the 7950GT.What trouble you have one?I don't have any.But my opinion go 7900GTO if you finded.To me is a leftover from other card's.Because if is that good why is no longer on sale?

The only difference that I see, it's that the GTX is running with more memory bandwidth and the GTX cost a lot more than the GTO: http://www.gpureview.com/show_cards....=459&card2=383

So, definitely the GTO is a much better choice. Except that, aren't they out of stock everywhere? I mean, only eVGA manufactured that card, what's up with that?

All I know is that I'm waiting for a DX10 car in the form of a GeForce 8xxx series.
