Blablahblah-story-of-my-life-answer (long version!) (Click to show)

Stick on topics you know the subject and give some tips to people in need of it. You got to share your expertise or give some nice advices, etc. If someone feel helped enough, they will rep you.. or not redface.gifthumb.gif

Have a great time here on the board.

edit : My tip would be to stick on subjects that are actual to you. Exemple, if you are overclocking your cpu, you begin reading a lot on the web, searching help on the board, then, you arrive at a point where you are done overclocking, you got nice advices here and there, you know your subject...Then, when you see someone in help in the CPU Overclock section, let say, just give him some help according what you rode before, your experience, etc.

edit : On my side, i began in here in search of help in the Air cooling forum. I had just my first pc build and looked for some air cooling advices etc. Then i completed air cooling on my case. Now i am more into intel cpu - overclocking. I still post sometimes in the Air cooling forum for fun or to give some advices. Maybe in 1 year, i will still stick in air cooling / cpu overclock forum section, but i will be into, let say Watercooling... etc.

You get my point. Just stick to what is actual to you, to give the best of your knowledge ! Snorkle.gif Plus, i guess you got to be interested in what you talk. I guess i am interested in your case, if i judge the length of that post... And this is where a guy like you, just received a nice help, can REP other ppl, if you feel they helped you enough biggrin.gifbiggrin.gifbiggrin.gif

Posting your thoughts on a thread that has been dead for 8 months is not proper forum etiquette.

Posting on a current thread is. smile.gif

and my room temps get to over 40°.i live in south africa

You cannot get 19 to 30 idle if room temps are ~40º. Just so you know.

i didnt check the age of thread bfor posting.my bad guys.sorry

doyll : when i tested - it was while gaming - deus ex hr/crysis :all the games and few othr demading games settings at high.didnt manualy oc.i used turbo boost method and core temp and hwmonitor for temps. ive got these for my fans:
front 3 intake - 2 * 120mm cm extraflo/1 * 200cm megaflo
bottom 1*140 silent x
side 2*140mm silent x
top 200mm aerocool that came with case
rear exhaust 1 of the 140 phanteks fans

i reverted back to stock bios settings thus im not oc anymore.

im might be a newby compared to all the others on oc.net but im 2times more passionate.
im not about bragging or if i got the best hardware.im more about how you put it all 2gether,time taken for best cablemanagement. do ya feel me.ive seen people come here and other threads/forums who spend thousands on a weekly basis.but they dont look after their setups all they care about is bench scores and bragging.
for exam.today a guy buys 2 gtx680lightnings runs them-ocd the **** outa them and if not satisfied tosses them for 7970's
thats a total waste of hardware and money?why? just to brag?
sorry but i came here for the same reason any1 cms here for in the 1st place - have fun and make friends.

No way can you have a 19-30c idle in up to 40c room. Add to that room temp doesn't mean as much as cooler intake temp... so 50c max load means nothing as there is no accurate cooler intake temp to go with it.

Well you are getting noticed but not as a good member of forum.
Quit acting like a hyper 8 year old who just got let out of the closet after eating 3 pound of candy he found on closet shelf.
Relax and only post information directly related and helpful to the thread.
Because if you don't I will ignore you completely and won't reply to anything you post.

The best air cooler out there is probably the Phanteks PH-TC14PE; it mounts easily, has great temps, but comes with the worst fans in the history of humankind. They sound like jet engines. I replaced mine with 2x 140mm Cougar Vortex Black fans, and it dropped my hottest core's temps 7 degrees C! I highly recommend it; I love the solid black cooler! biggrin.gif
