There would be a significant increase by switching to native Linux (or even VM), don't know how close it would come to a Bloomfield. I doubt a Bloom@3.8 can do much more than 18-20k in Windows.

Gotcha. Even bloomfield is struggling against the sandy and ivy CPUs in that same category. I'm tempted to put the i7 in my HTPC which is running a VM but that's where my TC i5 760 and can't afford to take that off folding for a long period of time.
