When you get your new cooler you may as well rewire your computer, shouldn't be hard cleaning up that wire mess.

Thanks for your help everyone, I gave reps for everyone who posted.

Do you think that you are going to upgrade to a better cooler like people have said in the other posts there should be no problem with a after market cooler in that case as far as the ram goes for clearance and to get better air flow tidy up those cables.smile.gif

Good news all:

Problem was heat the whole time. Once I reseated, used new TIM, locked 4th core.... I ran prime95 and whereas last time it lasted 2 minutes, I've been running for an hour smile.gif

PROBLEM FIXED smile.gif

thumb.gifsmile.gifthumb.gifbiggrin.gif:D:D:)

Now I'm just waiting on new heat sink so I ran unlock 4th core again

Congrats on fixing the problem! I still sweat balls every time something random happens. Do try to keep the computer clean of dust. Either by cleaning it out monthly with an air compressor/ duster or just try to avoid getting anything in there as a whole. I keep my computer on the table or on some flat, uncarpeted areas. Dusting your room helps you and your computer's health as well biggrin.gif. But yeah dust out the computer monthly if you must.

Do you have intel stock for your AMD or Intel processor? Intel's processors generally run hotter but they can sustain higher heat. The intel stock works flawlessly for my semi-overclocked AMD processor. I clamped it down real right with a TON of zipties. haha. thumb.gif

I have the stock Intel heat sink, but I was responding to this post:
Quote:
My regular computer has an Intel stock heatsink and it plateau out at 55C with high 30's C ambient.
I have no overclock, so I probably did something wrong. I don't ever stress my CPU out enough for it to matter, though, so I will probably end up postponing this indefinitely.
