wireless keyboard for gaming - Page 2

I've had the mx 5000 desktop from logitech for 4 or 5 or 6 years, not sure, I've had it for ages anyways at least 4 years.

I'm no pro gamer to any means, but i find it is fine (warcraft, diablo 3) Providing the batteries are good and the mouse is charged.

After a while (2 years or so) i found the mouse doesn't get a good contact with the charging device and you have to moisten the contacts on the mouse.

Blue tooth mouse and keyboard also means i can sit on the couch and run my PC through MY HD projector in my cinema room (6 or 7m aways and a wall).

I personally recommend this particular brand and device for general gaming and everything else.

Cheers

Pretty much this.

A wireless keyboard for the most part is more than enough for the average gamer. The way some people say you can't go wireless with keyboards for gaming is going a bit overboard, I seriously doubt most people would even be able to tell the difference in delay between a good wireless keyboard and a wired keyboard for most gaming sessions.

I personally think wireless is fine unless you are a professional gamer, compete in tournaments, really hardcore into real-time strategy games.

You will experience a moderate amount of lag when using wireless keyboards however this is acceptable to an extent as a trade off for being wireless. I used to play FPS (Battlefield 2, 2142, COD etc.) in the old days using an MX5000 which is a good keyboard however it used to drive me mad having to forever change the batteries due to the high drain ;)usage in gaming.

If you are going to be sat right in front of your PC then forget a wireless keyboard they are more hassle than they are worth. I am glad I upgraded to my wired Zibal Mionix 60 with Cherry MX Black's though (I no longer find myself tapping furiously at a key followinging a misregistered keystroke and opening Duracell packets is a thing of the past)!wink.gif

Any of you tried some Wireless Mechanical Keyboards that are on the market? Something like Xarmor U9W

They combine both and as I am also interested in a good wireless gaming keyboard, I googled them a bit but they don't seem so popular in reviews.
