Can I install DDR3 2000 ram on Sabertooth X58?

Thread Starter
I'm thinking to upgrade my 3x2gb=6gb ram.
I'm trying to get maximum memory out of this Sabertooth x58 motherboard.
Can I install 2 pair of these mushkin memory to run at 24gb ddr3 2000mhz speed?

My CPU is I7 950 at 4.2ghz overclocked.
sorry for my bad english.

Yes you can run them, but your IMC of your chip won't be able to run 2000MHz for sure with all dimm slots occupied. Running 2000MHz ram means you'd have to run your Uncore 2x the ram speed(4000MHz) If your chip has the magic, you'll need an obscene amount of VTT(IMC) volts to get the ram at those speeds.

You can still buy the Mushkins and run them at a lower clock and timings. Even with lower voltage, which is always a good thing!

I have same question for different cpu :-)
What is max ram speed for i7 980x ?
usually, Gulftown CPUs like i7-980X crap out around 1150-1200MHz (DDR3-2300 to 2400) for daily stable operation
of course, if you use six and/or 4+Gb modules, then maximum frequency will be lower
