This might be getting quite a bit off topic, but I don't see how 1 post following the OP's request is "going crazy". There are several people posting in here to get a free drive because free stuff is great. Lame and Shameful? More like loving to get free stuff. But be my guest the next time you get something for free to give it to someone else, there will be plenty of other people more than happy with a free item

Hey that "lame" and "old" SSD is still a SSD and will improve my rig. I don't have money pouring out of my pockets for new hardware. I enter the contests in effort to improve my rig or to win new hardware to build myself a new rig to pass on my current to my wife who is on an aging C2D setup. If people that were hemmorraging money with the super awesome rigs would not enter every freebie that came along and let some of the others that need the free hardware more than they do win the giveaways then perhaps this would be an all around better forum. I for one know that when/if my wife ever is able to get an upgrade for her rig I will be giving away the parts to someone that actually NEEDS the upgrade or help.

Thank you OP for the chance at the SSD. My post is in no way criticsing your generosity or draw method. I am just trying to make a point to those that already have great things to consider leaving something for those that don't.

Not everyone spends tons of money on hardware; I ended up reusing old portable hard drives in my system due to a lack of funds. Still, if I get enough free stuff, I can build that HTPC I want.
