The SCAR-L for instance, even though it comes from the CQ pack, is definately not made for CQ due to its slower rate of fire, but it makes up for it with stability at longer ranges.

Have to admit, I was one of the "Gimme a B2K discount" guys, I screamed it on the forum a few times. Just ended up buying it. Got me a shiny new $50 virtual box cutter biggrin.gif I wanted a hatchet--to go all serial killer on people.

This:

would be a lot better as a Premium melee wep.

But ARMA III is right around the corner...I think I'm ready for the next step up and I'll be getting it. BF3 will be my "break" game after.

There is no Premium and DLC, it's Premium OR DLC. With Premium you get everything is one package instead of buying individual DLC.

Of course EA can piss off Premium customers by shoving additional DLC on top of Premium players. Got Milk?

I am expecting arma 3 to be very buggy on release. Probably will be better months down the line tho.

i really dont understand whats wrong with ppl, if u used to pay 60 every year for cod
with same Engine and same weapons, just some new maps, and u were happy,
why crying about premium?

At least with COD the campaign would be different.

EA's DLC is on the same engine, same story, and same company. I'm not going to pay $50 to DICE for not providing modding tools and giving the community a couple of new maps in return.

I think Premium was a good purchase, i have had a lot of fun with new maps and unlocking everything slowly. And i'm very happy it doesn't follow the same style as Metro where one spot is continiously getting RPG and grenade spammed with 64 players. I actually get to use my guns. smile.gif

The only reason I bought Premium is because I'd buy the four DLCs anyway, and with Premium I save ten bucks. Bargain if you ask me. Close Quarters is great, I really enjoy it.

As a 'brotha' of sorts cuss we're both OCN'ers...

As far as BF3 and you not buying...

You won't be missed.

EDIT...

I do not enjoy COD, had it, modern warfare... good for while but lost it's appeal. Played BF2 for 4 yrs.. I will support Dice, and by extension EA as long as they produce a BF2 game. I payed for premium cuss I can. The money was a non issue. It's 4 map packs and i looking forward to seeing the next 3 released..

What other modern war game FPS is out there? Yep.. exactly.... BF3.

LOL fail so just because you bought the expansions on sale years probably after they came out you think they cost that much on release? Bf2 and 1942 was 50$ when they came out just like every other pc game; special forces was 30$, euro force was 10$ and so was armored fury. Im sure in a few years premium will be 25$ too. Hell I bought premium for 40$ but thats not the price everyone else paid.

how can a game be broken at its core when u said u already played it for over 300 hours. You didnt even mention how it was broken.

No one said its perfect and ultra polished and error free. But its not broken to the core either, which you apparently don't know the meaning off. Games like that are usually unplayable yet you admitted to playing it for over 300 hours.

Bad luck was annoying, not too bad, though.
Collision is pretty meh.
I've noticed the tank bug a few times.
Is BF3 a polished game? Not by a long shot.
Decent/mediocre? Sure.

I encounter this very rarely, not even enough to ruin my experience anyways. If this is happening to you all the time its on your end sorry. Is bf3 polished of course not I have never played a game that was polished on release and rarely played a game that was polished even months after. bf2 and 2142 was only nearly "fixed" near the end of their lives. However people think if games have bugs they are "broken" to the core. Its like they never played a bf game.

Most of my BF3 problems were gone after the first big patch. I have had a pretty good experience overall. The only issue i have had with CQ was on friday night, i was in a game and all of a sudden everyone was invincible and nobody could lose health and for 5 minutes 64 players are running around trying to knife each other. I actually had a good laugh and it got me 8/10 knife kills for one of the unlocks, but i hope it doesn't happen again.

Playing at 25ms should be a dream with everything being near-instant right? WRONG, that only applies to other shooters! This is BF3 where even 25ms feels like playing at 700ms. You get shot around cover years after going behind it, shooting people point-blank in the face (and I mean 1 foot apart) with a shotgun somehow "misses" them, you are rewarded for playing at 300ms+ instead of punished, the combat feels sticky and slow, and to top things off you have suppression throwing off your aim around 80% of the time since it's so many players crammed into a tiny map...might as well be playing while holding a sheep against your face.
People who keep saying "omg bf3 has turned into cod" need to someone to slap them awake because bf3 is about as far from cod as it gets, in both good ways AND bad ways (mostly bad) because atleast CoD has a fast and responsive hit detection/cover model and isn't a complete MESS.
At this point BF3 is nothing more than demonstration of what Frostbyte 2 can do...and so far the only thing that engine CAN do is look beautiful while attempting (and failing) to pull off as a first person shooter.

It plays like an uninspired tech demo. I actually had more fun with Crysis and Crysis multiplayer (and I loved Battlefield 2)
