Typo.. It was $49.99... which is still significantly more than $29.99, so the point is still valid. It didn't take Amaz

Looking at SteamPrices, Portal 2 regular price dropped to 29.99 USD on July 11, 2011. Was that in line with Amazon?

Same here, but don't take that as all games activate on Steam. Do a little research and you get Steam games at dirt cheap prices thumb.gif

Steam sales well last year they had over 500 games on sale. From what I saw of the amazon thing it was about 30.

lol

Where are you coming up with these numbers?

All of the popular games that are on Steam and Amazon were on sale. Something cheaper on Amazon, sometimes cheaper on Steam, but not by much.
If you're counting Indie titles, it would seem Steam has more, but that's not the case.

If it's a Steamworks game, it can be activated on Steam, if not then it's stand alone. Of course EA games can be activated on Origin also.
Have about 10+ games I've purchased on Amazon and activated on my Steam account.

Thanks for this and +Rep! Couldn't pass up $30 for Max Payne 3 - MP was one of my favorites growing up and getting into PC gaming. thumb.gif

$130 well spent. Every game I purchased worked fine on either Steam (SIX) or Origin (ONE).

Anyone else think it is a little odd to build a bundle that has six pieces of DLC for a game that isn't in the bundle?

I've never dealt with Amazon games... maybe I should have a glass.

This. I'd rather have a box and possibly a booklet to come with my $ spent. I still buy CDs as well (DID YOU HEAR THAT RIAA?! tongue.gif)
But, this is not to say that I don't have a semi-controlled bad habit when Steam sales come about.
