best, fastest(silk-smooth fps) for 1680x1050 resolution?? - Page 3

I would Get a HD 7850 or 7870 as it is more than capable of running current generation titles oh high ish settings at 1680x1050 you are only going for 60 fps anyway and it is more or less balanced with your processor.

Also are you sure that you don't have the settings wrong as most games only go to 1680x1050 when they are in 16:10 aspect ratio. When you have a 1920X1080 monitor you want to be running 16:9 aspect ratio.

Here is an example in counter strike source on my 1920x1080 monitor...

338

Above is in 16:10 mode and below is in 16:9 mode. As you can see in 16:10 mode you can only get up to 1680x1050 but in 16:9 mode you can get up to your native res.

The 560ti can also game at 1680x1050...
oh i see smile.gif... well yeah, i really focus on the GPU's max power consumption itself coz i know the rest of my system like my cpu needs little power so, yeah... i suppose my psu's good... anyways most manufacturers recommend 500W or higher psu's..

hmm... if my mother gets mad for spending too much , then i might go for the gtx 560ti lol or a 7870/7850...

thanks

I'm also from the Philippines, For your budget, the 7870 is perfect, infact, you only stated "fastest, silk, smooth fps" which you could already go down to maybe a GTX 570 from PCXpress.
oh hi!.i guess the problem is my monitor, yeah, i set the aspect ratios to those u mentioned but still the problem persists...
and yeah, what i mean fastest, silk, smooth fps is the most/best performer in my resolution also means it can max all games at that resolution having silk, smooth fps... so yeah ill decide from those, but like i said earlier if my mother gets mad for spending too much, then i might go for the gtx 560ti or might be the 7870 lol tongue.gif

thanks.

Do you mean you have bought a Cougar RS 550. because there seems to be no RS 500 model.

thanks.

minimum of GTX 560 ti 1-2gb or HD 6950 1-2 gb
already do very best job for 1680x1050 ,,even at 1920x1080

but i prefer wait for GTX 660 or go for HD 7850/7870,, for performance class card nowadays..

gtx 560ti/6950 soon will be an old generation card biggrin.gif
