Device Hung due to Badly formed commands

Thread Starter
I've been facing issues with my GTX560Ti Twin Frozr II.
The problems are so far limited to:
1. Random black screens followed by crashing of media players (KMPlayer, VLC)
2. Random slowdowns in games like BF3.
So far there were no error messages but Tom Clany's Ghost Recon Future soldier gave me this error:
"Device hung due to badly formed commands"
I did a proper search of the OCN's repository of knowledge and tried all the methods listed to no avail.
Can anybody please help?
I tried doing clean uninstalls and reinstalls of 296.10 and 301.42 to no avail. Is my card broken? If it is I can't RMA because I picked up this card for cheap way back as it had no box, no warranty with it....
:S

Any help will be appreciated.

Regards,
Shodhanth

With future soldier I had the same issue. I read that it doesnt like overclocked GPUs apparently and also needs a bump in volts.. So I downclocked my settings to stock, and upped the volts a tad bit, and it didnt happen anymore.

Will try that, but the random black screens happen well, randomly.
But usually when I'm browsing or watching videos on Youtube, I get a random black screen and after a 2 second delay my display returns, if it doesn't it means a BSOD just happened and my computer restarts... frown.gif

Same thing happens here. Brand new GTX670. "Device hung due to badly formed commands" - yeah, right. Ubisoft better fix their game.

It isn't just with Ubisoft games.
It's with desktop, browsing, watching videos and other basic stuff which hardly stress the GPU.
