Bulging caps

After 9 years of faithful service , running a 2500 + barton at 2.2 to 2.4 ghz speeds all of that time, my MSI K7delta ISLR has bulging and leaking capacitors. The 4 nearest the cpu are the culprits.
My questions - Am i risking damage to other components by running it like this? Should i run them till failure or replace them now?

Yeah i'd replace them, we're allways replacing caps round this way, there very cheap if gotten from the correct place.

Well everything does. But capacitors tend to last a long long time.

I can only guess that he was victim to the Capacitor Plague. Which happened in the early 2000s and later around 2007. I also fell victim to this in the early 2000s, and my work in 2008-2011.

Very easy to replace, if you know your way around a soldering iron.

Replace your caps. Capacitors remove the ripple from the power dilivery system to your CPU which must maintain a constant voltage. When the ripple is introduced, it can cause instability or even damage to the CPU because of the micro-voltage flucuations. Grab yourself some nice Rubycon caps and replace those suckers. Make sure the voltage and microferrat rating matches.
