Alright, so here is the deal. I have this cpu and I simply do not know if it works or not because I do not have an LGA 1366 motherboard and I don't feel like spending the money to go buy one just to check if this will work or not. But what I can tell you is that this chip has very, very little usage on it, if it has even been used at all. I believe this chip was a display unit at Microcenter.
As some of you may know, I work at Microcenter in California and every now and then they do a "silent auction" to get rid of all the stuff they are not allowed to throw away. Well, yesterday at work I won the silent auction, and included in all the crap that I got, this was sitting in there. Silent auction material at Microcenter is either things that do not work at all, are too expensive to fix, or simply just returned items or display items that they could not sell.
This is why I do not know if this works or not, but I'm very certain that it will work just fine because the chip has no physical damage, the box is in good condition, the stock HSF has never been used, and I see NO traces of any heatsink ever mounted on this chip. So this is what I propose:
You pay for the chip, let me know whether or not you want the box/stock HSF ($7 extra). I will ship you the chip, and once you receive it, you will tell me whether or not it works properly. If it DOES work, then we're fine. If it does NOT work, you will ship the chip back to me and once I receive it back, I will refund you 100% of the money, except whatever you have to pay for return shipping.
I believe this is a fair deal because these are going for well over $200 on eBay and I am very positive that this chip will work just fine. PM me with any questions
