I am currently working on my very first scratch built case and also are working with aluminium. I have taken a great interest in your painting methods as the result is very nice. I haven't decided what finish I exactly want, but do you know how I should go if I wanted a matte finish on the paint? I was thinking if I followed your method, and sanded the very last coat of paint that I might be able to obtain a matte finish but I am not entirely sure that it wouldn't screw it up lol.
for a matte finish you'll need a matte spraycan. I used highgloss white, you'll probably need satin gloss or matte for a nice matte finish. I wouldn't sand the last layer, this will be visible and most lilely won't look good. Best tip I can give you: Take your time with sanding and priming. These steps are crucial when you want a nice finish.

Thanks ShineGraphics, hopefully a videocard upgrade by the end of the month, then I can make the gpu backplate and call this mod done.
