radeon 6570

Thread Starter
This is a question about performance or what I can expect out of 2 radeon 6570 gpus in dual graphics mode, now before everyone starts saying you schould have boutght a better card let me just defend myself and say this is my 1st build,I relize that cards like the radeon 7980 or 7000 series are among the best but before I blow 500 dollars per card I wanted to familarize myself with the supporting mods and etc.... just for arguments sake if these 2 cards were to be overclocked what do you guys think I can get out of them??? Iam looking to play flight simulators mainly, so hawx 1 and 2 , ace combat and so forth..... fsx would be the best but I heard that game is very picky to which gpu you use, in the near future I will be purchsing dual 7000 series gpus but help me make the most of what I got???? Thanks guys!

I would think you would get around 6670 or 6750 performance, which isn't too shabby.
You would probably be able to play around medium-high settings on those flight sims.

My "Slow Slow" hp computer runs a single 6570 by XFX. And I can say it overclocks pretty good, my core goes up to 820 with no problem... even better if I managed to change voltage, but unfortunately I cannot.
As for performance, it definately lacks. You can run skyrim low-medium with a single. So I'd say a good solid medium with two. Overclocked.
Although I cant compare my 6570 with a different 6570, as mines has 64 bit memory, and its very slow memory with a disappointing bandwidth of 12 gb/s @ 800 mhz.The normal 128 bit is @1000 and about 48 gb/s...I think... so that you can get the benefit from overclocking the core. If your fortunate enough to get 128 bit 6570 card . You wont get the wasted 12gbs bandwith etc.
I don't see how you can crossfire without a crossfire bridge...but we'll see biggrin.gif.
I say go for it, if returns are accepted you can always take it back thumb.gif

for lower end cards, is just called dual graphics, and all data is sent through the pci bus. and skyrim is extremely processor heavy, so i can get a solid medium-high with my xfx 6570.

Oh, The low end computer has a Athlon x2 First generation....So the processor isn't doing any work on my rig biggrin.gif.
Id say its worth it, especially if you can achieve 900/1000 on the card.
Considering the cards are 60 dollars. Very good deal.

I estimate two HD6570s would be about equal to an HD6770 maybe even HD6790 performance in some games.
If you already have one, then go ahead and grab another, it should give you at least 20 fps boost.

If you dont have it yet. Get an HD7750 instead. It will use less power than two HD6570s and give better performance.
only costs about $109

Google up a program called GPU-Z...It displays useful information about your graphics card.
Your cpu....you can maybe try a new cooler...or simply re-applying the thermal paste. You can also try running fans at a higher rpm...many options. thumb.gif
If your cpu is not hot to touch, then it is a faulty temperature sensor and it's not as hot as the bios reads.

93 degrees Fahrenheit is equal to 33 degrees celsius (which is normal for any processor at idle)

if it said 93 degrees celsius, then that is the problem
