[example]
50%games
20% music editing
30% web surfing

Probably around 40% games, (Not many high end games though, mostly casual indie games, and then skyrim),
Large photo editing in photoshop 20%
40% web surfing, but able to multitask, with several other programs such as itunes, steam, photoshop, also running without much slowdown.

@jvkua , thanks for the list, the case actually looks nice in my opinion, although i feel as if im reading braile when i look at the specs. Any other word on this list vs langer1972's list?

at the moment speed would be more important, i have a 500gb external hard drive which is able to keep most of my media for now

EDIT: After reading what you said about upgrading hard drive, it would be best to still have a decent starting hard drive, 500gb-1tb, which is really all I need when adding in the external hard drive i already have

Well, the one I posted is using Ivy Bridge with a Z77 board. Though the 3570k runs somewhat hotter than the 2500k, it's faster and it lets you use the PCIe 3.0 on the board in the future. Z77 vs Z68, the Z77 has native USB3.

The 560ti I placed is also faster than the 550ti he posted. The one I placed has 1TB vs 500gb of HDD space and mine only has a 500w 80+ PSU compared to the 650w 80+ silver he posted
It's a computer.

I see, I am leaning towards more of your parts, mostly just browing case designs now, il see what microfister has to suggest if there are some ways to cut back and save for later aswell.

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16827151255 ODD non OEM so you dont need cables

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811146085 case(that you had approved of, personal preference really)

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813157265R open box MOBO very good brand, and should still carry warrnaty from previous owner, asrock has similar warranty to asus(if item is returned and resold, then item maintains original warranty minus time from inital sale) does not support the ssd caching or the ivy bridge CPUs but your performance will not suffer much at all and your wallet will thank you

The Case here is actually just a placeholder since it's more of personal preferences in looks.
O hey, nice build as ussual. Again, very similar to mine XD. I love your business sense.

Wow absolutely love the amount of help I've had from you guys.

@microfister, your links look great, Ill prob stick to most of your suggestions, and then the 1tb hard drive jvkua had suggested, only being a bit over the 900 mark which isnt a problem.

EDIT: For now I'll continue looking at various cases, although is there any size or # of bays i need to keep in mind when browsing?

Gonna get my thoughts out on this before I do a maximise budget build...
Optical: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16827106289 saves a dollar
Case: Very good, high end case, aesthetics wise very pleasing, however, temps will be similar to the challanger(same stock fan config) i posted in my build but for only 40$, if you plan to add fans, keep it
Graphics card: same card, same price, no mail in rebate http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814150617 hell, you might even be able to fool xfx and get the rebate on your card on this one and save even more
PSU: links broken, mines a steal at 30 bucks and will power everything below a 680 and has 2 6+2 pins
Memory: like your's if you plan to stay at 1333mhz, if you want it at 1600mhz heres the link(id suggest this) http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820220558 BOTH ARE APPLICABLE FOR THIS COUPON, USE ITEMCNDHA42
CPU: get yourself a 3570k, they are on sale(as per my build)
MOBO: the one time i ordered open box ON AN ASUS, i got stiffed. Mobo's have alot of small complications that get missed where other open box products dont. PLZ go with the BIOSTAR z77 i suggested
OS: yep
SSD: I assume thats for boot/intel smart response, buy it if you must, i've had no problems with sandforce controllers (such ones could be found in my vertex 3 60gb)
