High Temperature CPU & GPU

Hello guys ,3 months now i have a problem with my cpu and gpu temp..i have "intel core 2 quad Q8400" and "Nvidia GTX 9800" and "Hyper TX3" processor cooling..my temp at desktop is 55 on cpu and 70 on gpu.. also i have only one case fan on the back and a not very good case.
I would really apriciate it if u could help me though smile.gif (soz for my bad english)

Are these temps when there is full load on your CPU and video card?

Then I would say the solution should be found in better airflow.  Having only 1 fan which happens to be a rear exhaust is a big part of the problem.  However, if money is a problem too, then you may try keeping the side panel off of the case and having some sort of fan blowing into the case.  I mean, the only solution is to dissipate the heat faster that is building up inside of the case.

 

In addition, if the computer is inside of an enclosed area like a deskhole, then it must be taken out because modern systems just generate too much heat to be kept in enclosed areas.

Two Recommendations :-

1) try replacing your PSU if you have a crap PSU

2) improve airflow

What thermal did you use and have you applied it properly? You have to apply the thermal paste in small strips on the three cooper pipes at the base of the TX3. That cooler does wonders. What are your case temps or airflow temps?
