7850 Arctic Cooling Twin Turbo II HSF worth it?

Like the title says.

I'm debating on swapping out the stock twin fan cooler (Sapphire 7850 Non OC edition) with an Arctic Cooling Twin Turbo II HSF.

Opinions?

Thanks. + rep to you. thumb.gif

Just installed it and it made quite a bit of difference. At just under 1.2v (1.85v) I has stayed locked at 57*C under fur mark. Very nice. biggrin.gif

Its probably the cooler that made the difference, but the 7850 had quite a bit of thermal pate on it. Way more than was needed, so I'm sure that helped as well.

I know it's too late, but I love my TTII to bits.

Not to late at all. smile.gif

I've been running the AC TT II on my 7850 for a couple days, and I'm amazed at how cool it keeps it. So far I've managed to push 1275 / 1400 @ 1.22v without even breaking 60*C.

Grats on your 1000th post.

On topic: I prolly would not have put that on a 7850 they already run extremely cool in the first place. You could have spent that money from the cooler on a good 7870 like the twin-frozr or something. But hey, if your happy with it, then more power to ya thumb.gif

Well I didn't actually spend any money on it. I traded some parts with another OCN member for a GPU that already had the cooler installed. I've been wanting to replace the TIM on the 7850 for a little while, and finally found an excuse to do it. tongue.gif

On a side note. I swapped back to the stock 7850 cooler for a second time, to do some benching with new TIM (AS5) and it was okay. At first it never went above 60*C in Furmark @ 1.22v... Then I realized the PowerLi was at 0%. Raising that to +20% caused temps to rocket up to the 70's with in seconds. After roughly 5 minutes of Fur the temps were around 77*C with the fans blazing at 100%.

80*C isn't too bad for that amount of voltage, but I wouldn't run it like that 24/7. Swapping back to the AC TT II and temps never went above 60*C w/ PowerLi at +20%. Its a very good cooler to say the least.

Wow, very nice indeed. Plus how quiet it must be as well as apposed to a stock cooler. thumb.gif

Yeah, it makes very little noise at all. I have the fans at 100% right now and I can barley hear them. The stock fans at 100% are very noisy, lol.
