Just switched to intel. need help with ram selection.

so i just switched to a i5 3570k with a z77.

my current RAM right now has a timing of 9-9-9-24 and i wanna get more. but idk if its worth it to go to 32gb or just get another 2 sticks with the same timing and hit 24gb.

suggestions please and possible product links . thank you!

What do you do that's so RAM intensive? If you need it, then by all means get some. Also is this referring to the sig rig's 4GB G.Skill? Could you throw up the model of the current ram if you intend to try some different sticks alongside it.

Basically just play computer games and do video editing. And yes I'm referring to the sig rig I also have an additional 8gb of ram in there sniper series . Only problem I have really is the my CPU fan is giant n I need sleek thin ram

Yeah, you shouldn't need more than 8GB. The Sammys would be nice. For your uses you'd be best off dumping money in to the GPU for games, somewhat the processor as well, and CPU for video editing.

Well I just got a z77 and a i5 3570k. And I have a 6950. I'm probably going to get a second one now and cross fire it since my rams fine accourding to everyone. My sig isn't upto date. I have 12gb ram
