Silverstone Strider Plus 850W vs OCZ ZX Series 850W

Hello everyone, new to the forums (registration that is but love reading the stuff here), just need quick advice on which you think is better of the two powersupplies for this build:

CPU: i5 3570K
Motherboard: ASUS P8Z77-V PRO
GPU: Sapphire HD7970 OC
HSF: CoolerMaster Hyper 212 EVO CPU Cooler
RAM: G.Skill Ares F3-1600C9D-8GAO 8GB (2x4GB) DDR3
Case: Corsair Carbide 400R Black Mid-Tower Case

Silverstone Strider Plus 850W ST85F-P $159 http://www.pccasegear.com/index.ph [...] s_id=13278

OCZ Technology ZX Series 850W $169 http://www.pccasegear.com/index.ph [...] s_id=17425

I already ordered the Silverstone Strider Plus 850W ST85F-P, but it hasn't been processed yet, so i could possibly change it. So please be quick with the advice.

Thank you

PS: i know that 850W is overkill for the current system but i want it for future proofing and potential X-fire later on. So please recommend one of the two i listed above, with reasoning if possible. I've considered other alternatives like the HX-850 but it is too expensive at $215, so i found the two above to best best priced and within my budget.

stick with the silverstone.. chances are it's already been processed by now, so no use in changing.

The probably have, but none the less i want to know is there a massive difference between the two power supplies, and is the Silverstone strider a quality psu.

there isn't a massive difference between the two.. both have great efficiency and voltage regulation.
only "downside" i guess, to the silverstone is the lack of a power switch at the back.

either way, the silverstone is a quality psu.

The OCZ cables especially the 24 pin mb cable and the 8 pin cpu cable may not be long enough for your mid tower case

Thanks for the comment, yeah both supplies seem great, and the power switch missing isn't much of a concern for me.

Yeah thats one of the stuff i kept hearing, that the cables were to short and rough, that people didn't like them.

My Strider+ 850w has been brilliant, never missed a beat in the 12 months or so I've had it. Fully modular is a god-send.

Thank you for the comment, its great to hear. Yeah I decided that i would just stick with the Silverstone Strider Plus 850W, as it is a quality psu. Hopefully system arrives soon, and i will have it up and running.
