Use system speakers instead of the mics?

I got a new mic but it’s only got on speaker, how could I turn off that speaker and use the systems speakers instead? Or just turn on my system speakers when mic is plugged in?

Are you referring to a headset mic that only has one earphone on it? If so, just don't plug in the earphone portion. The mic part and headset part should each have different jacks.

Its a headset for a PS2, its only got on speaker on the mic side, thats no good for playing games on the computer. I want to know if I can just turn off the mics one speakers and keep the system speakers on when the mic is plugged in.
