Good deal. I like it so far. I got it even cheaper because it was an "Open box" deal on Newegg.

My wife would kill me for the power bill though...complains as is with just a 570 and i7 920 folding 24/7 biggrin.gif Hmmm, I need to start making plans to bring my folder into my office.

EDIT: Just checked your stats...whoa drool.gif

Thanks man. Luckily I don't pay power bills so I can do this. And the points I have up right now do NOT include this rig. But once it does... watch out leader board!

If your end-game is a dedicated folding rig, Intel and a i7 folding bigadv is definitely the way to go - ppd/watt is much better 24/7 either in a VM or native Linux than lots of gpus

Thanks. No I have not. I will read up on it.

I'm working on getting linux installed in a VM on my gaming rig right now but having issues. I posted in another thread about it.

Thanks for all the comments guys! I will have more very very soon. I have to retake the review photos of the case sad-smiley-002.gif so I'll be doing that tomorrow then I'll put this all back together.

I'm sure they will. I have probably over 30 of them in use on multiple builds.

Got one of many packages in today. It contains:

4 x Bitspower BP-BSWP-C62 G1/4" Black Sparkle IG1/4" Extender - 25mm
2 x Bitspower BP-BSWP-C65 G1/4" Black Sparkle IG1/4" Extender - 50mm
1 x FilterRight™ 120mm Aluminum Fan Filter - Black (FR120-BK)
1 x FilterRight™ 140mm Aluminum Fan Filter - Black (FR140-BK)
10 x Koolance Swiveling Angle Fitting, Single
1 x Phobya Temperature Sensor Outer Thread G1/4 with Display - Blue (PH-71171)
4 x Bitspower G1/4" Black Sparkle Stop Fitting (BP-BSWP-C06)

DSC02091.jpg

I bought the Extenders so that I wouldn't have to have crazy bends in the tubing. I used a 50mm + 25mm and a 90 degree rotary fitting to get the height I needed to clear the 5.25" bay. I also used a single 25mm extender and a 90 degree rotary fitting to clear the fans. Now I just have to put a small straight piece of tubing in and the top part is done.
DSC02171.jpg

I decided to make some custom power cables to save space in the case. They are easy enough to make. Here you can see I made one to power all the 3.5" HDD bay PBCs.
DSC02172.jpg

Its hard to see but you can see the run down at the bottom of the case and to the PSU.
DSC02173.jpg

I also installed the 140mm and 120mm fan filters on the back of the case. These will ensure that no dust gets in. They were a bit pricey but worth it because I can take them off with ease and wash them.
DSC02174.jpg

I'm expecting several more packages this week so I should have this up and running very soon.

Cheers till then,

Fuga

Got a few more things in.

8GB RAM to match the mobo
120mm fan grills
140mm fan grill
2 sets of Koolance QDC
Single bay temp sensor bracket
Koolance Flow meter and meter frequency adapter
2x Sunbeam 6 channel fan controllers

DSC02185.jpg

Closer look at the fan controllers
DSC02187.jpg

DSC02188.jpg

And installed.
DSC02192.jpg

Installed the flow meter.
DSC02191.jpg

Installed the RAM and started routing the tubing.
DSC02196.jpg

QDC installed outside the case so I can add my radiator stand whenever I want to.
DSC02195.jpg

I decided to do some leak testing. Good thing I did. One of the Koolance 90 degree rotary fittings on the back 140mm rad had a bad O-ring so I replaced it and all was good.
DSC02199.jpg

I should be getting the last few items Wednesday or Friday. Hopefully this will be done by this weekend.

Cheers till then,

Fuga

I must admit... I had originally intended to reprimand you for your placement of the ram sticks... then halfway through typing my comment I realised I was thinking of my EVGA X58 3X Classy with Triple Channel ram and how they alternate... redface.gif Whoops.

I have a question or two... where is that CPU block from? I noticed it's an AMD because of the elongated mounting shape and Intel's are all square-based so that's probably why I've never seen it (I'm strictly an Intel and nVidia builder only tongue.gif), and secondly... what made you go with the Rheobus controllers? I personally don't like them due to their knobs lol, I think they're atrocious and an affront to aesthetics everywhere hahaha. I've heard good things about their durability and what not so was that your reasoning?

Ya this mobo is still weird. They are side by side instead of every other. Must be an AMD thing.

I am also an Intel/NVIDIA fan boy but for the price, I couldn't argue. FX-8120 8-core CPU and 5 slot PCI-E mobo for $300... you do the math on a 2600K equilivent lol.

The CPU block is from Amazon.com. It is OCZ's CPU waterblock. I bought it just to try it out. Its only $20! I figured I'd give it a shot and see how it does. If I don't like it I'll just get a different one.

I'm not a huge fan of the Rheobus controllers but they were only $25 for both of them on one of the forums. They are also 30W per channel but I only have 1 fan per channel so it doesn't really matter. I might switch them for my Lamptron FC6 or FC9 since the blue knobs are increadibly bright when turned all the way up. And they are blue which doesn't match the outside of the case lol.

Ahhk. I thought it said OCZ but I wasn't sure. I saw the Z and it matched the way OCZ does their branding but wasn't going to assume, as assumption is the mother of all ****ups, pardon my french. biggrin.gif

I'm getting some NZXT Sentry Mix's from P-PC's as they are 50W per channel and I'll be using Koolance 38mm thick 184CFM fans for my rads on my xTreme sig build lol. That's with one fan per channel too haha, I'm hoping the fan controllers can handle the amperage those fans require. Besides the Sentry Mix is so damn sexy, I just couldn't choose any other tongue.gif

Yeah I'm being extremely picky about what I use in my build when I start it as I'm going with a red/black chrome/nickel(or shiny lol)-accent theme. So I'm using Mayhem's Tharsis Red Aurora dye and all my LED's will be red, and cause the Sentry Mix has red LED's as an option, win-win thumb.gif

I can see how the price lured you in, but I hold true to what I want lol, if I can't get it I'll wait till I can or look around and see if there's anything better that I like even if it costs more, but I suppose that's just me.

Well I spared no expense in my Honeycomb WHS build and my Rage Gaming rig. I tried to save a bit of cash on this build.

Yeah, with prices of things these days sometimes it doesn't hurt to save a bit here and there lol. I generally like to try and find the lowest price I can for something I want and go from there.

As a really good example of saving money lol, how's this:
US Website TigerDirect = 3x GTX 680 4GB FTW+ & 4x Intel 520s 240GB SSD's for $3,029.93 USD + $194.67 international shipping. So that's roughly $3,134.31 in AUD

Aus Website PC Case Gear = Same products for $3,872.00 USD or $3,763.00 AUD so $629 AUD in savings including international shipping... lol. Prices are insane here. I'm trying to source as much as I can from Aus stores but they either don't have them or ridiculously overpriced.
