Played it a bit, but it's pretty awful.
Maybe alright when you're a kid and have nothing to spend, but definitly pointless to play if you have access to quality titles.

I think it is much better than any modern CoD game........and I have actually played them (at least I don't own them so thats good) so I know how bad they are.

Unless of course you think this is on par with the terribleness of CoD.

IMO, that's a bit harsh. While I don't think it's the next CS:S or anything, for the price of the game (free) and the entertainment value and replay ability it has, I feel it can compete with most big name games. (while being a 10x better value)

I was in the open and closed beta for this game, I've maybe put 40 hours into it, and honestly it's a great game from my point of view. I find the bullet/hit detection to be spot on, better then some of the blockbuster titles that have been released. It's fast paced, the maps are pretty decent, (some room for improvement here I think) and the weapon selection (building) is a very nice touch. I do think there is room for improvement, but judging by what I've read about the dev's, they'll be supporting this for some time. I feel it's worth the download.

They've been adding so much content in the past month and there's a lot of stuff scheduled. The developers actually talk to the players directly, often comment on announcements, reply to posts on the forum and tweet a lot.

any reason you feel that way? just because a game is free dosnt make it awful, and if thats your feelings for f2p by all means gauge quality by price. you have to remember what f2p brings to the community, it allows you to try new concepts(not just another COD) FOR FREE. it also gives developers the ability to maintain a game without fighting and bankrupting themselves to get a trademark stamped on the cover. theres no production cost because its all DLC, no mailing, packaging, or DRM. and what about that isnt to love?

IMO free to play w/o hackers is 500 times better than $60 for MW3(or BF3 for that matter) + $30 for DLC and more hackers than anonymous

yes the game is simple and basic, but it uses some different devices to maintain the playstyle, essentially just a shooter, but it is a dx11 shooter with loads of legit players, open matches, upgrades, real world customizations, tweaks, and free DLC. the game gets 4/5 for me. the only think that i dont like about the game is that your gear is rented and not permanent(given you can make a lot of the items permanent though)

IMO if you havnt played it, DL it and give it a shot, the weapon customizations got me hooked. anyone thats ever built a custom rifle or even modded an AR would truly enjoy that aspect of the game thumb.gif

I'm having a blast, love all the different game modes that keep it from being just another run and gun F2P game.

THIS, i finally found the place to make guns permanent, jesus, i've been playing a week, wish the so called "tutorial" would've mentioned that particular area and how much of a ripoff from your gained points. Don't like the system at all, worse version of grinding to get your weapons I've seen yet in an MOFPS leveling system.

Are you kidding me? It's probably one of the most fair F2P's I've played. Much more fair than League of Legends and Tribes Ascend. A premade gun costs 200 GP to rent per day. One single game (10 minutes) nets you 100 to 200 GP.

Assuming I can get at least 150 GP per game (if i don't get my butt handed to me), every 10 minutes, congrats, i only got 900 in an entire hour, so 4 straight hours match after match so i can finally afford the actual RECEIVER! not including barrel, muzzle, scope, magazine, etc. for 1 gun. And no, renting those items for a day doesn't improve my GP gain aftermatch whatsoever, so its not even a type of investment for the money i spend for renting these items. Yeah, no thanx.
