What's graphics card fab (nm) and die size (mm2)?

Can someone show me the picture of fab (nm) and die size (nm2) for GPU? i tried to google to find the picture of gpu fab, but couldn't find it.

let look at GTX 500 series, all fab nm is 40, but their die size is different, and im interested to know what fab looks like and die size looks like...

p.s. sorry for asking a noob question, but im being curious, and i want to learn something new.

40 nm (nanometers) is the size of each individual transistor.

 

The die size is something I don't know about yet.

40 nanometers is a microscopic size (it can only be seen under a microscope).  That's why billions of transistors can be put onto a processor.

 

I don't know where to find any pics.

Process node (measured in nm) is the average half-pitch, or half the distance between identical features (transistors).

Die size is exactly that...it's the area of the physical die.

The smaller the manufacturing process, the more transistors that can be packed on a single die of a given size.

The smaller the die the more can be cut from a single wafer, and the less the part will cost.

Oh man, I forgot about the term "wafer".

This is what I remember, not the actual size of the transistor, they very.
What we're looking in NM is the distance(half) between 2 resistors.

I can't remember who put up a well informed article going into detail about all the nuances/intricacies/terminology of gpu manufacturing.
It was either Chuck at SA or Anand.
