+reps for this, I'm inspired. There is a whole theme here with old tech posted in shadow boxes.
This idea has been bugging me for a few years. What to do with computer old parts that i like. When i saw the shadow boxes at ikea it all came to life. First i thought it was a geek thing (i'm a geek and i love it) but i decided to go to a fair and sold everything i had in a couple of hours. You can chek my pics at facebook (www.facebook.com/framedit) I use motherboards, hard drives, and cpus.
I'm now trying to evolve and framing the pieces with other meanings, i already did a cross with inverted CPUs. Hope you like, here is an example

Those look AWESOME!! I have a ton of old parts laying around that I was thinking about doing this with and then using them to decorate my office, seeing your examples has made me really excited to get around to do it!!

Damn azerenka is destroying, but on topic this is a pretty cool idea that I would love to try but I think I would just hang them alone with a light on it or something,

i was gonna suggest lawn art but arent there certain parts of a mobo that can do damage to the enviroment. i want mobos hanging from trees ALLLLLLL over my front and back yard like they grow on those trees.

i put mini atx in bushes and larger ones on taller trees. small boards from mice go for "flower boards" and so on so forth.
Almost done...

I thought about shadow boxing a few of my first motherboards too. Glad to see you are what you have done with yours.

Awesome job OP! Loved it. Especially how you did a little mod with Syrillian's old board. I'd bet anything in saying that your work put a little smile on his face smile.gif makes me want to try this!

I loved the idea I already hung a few pieces on my wall to put more of them within a frame will be the next step!
