IT should be fine. Usually if it in the close range to 1000 it doesn't matter. It is when you are an excessive amount over which will cause system instablility. One think you can do is run benchies at your current setting, and then take the HTT multi down one and test again and see which runs better.

I love your sig, Bear.

And no, you shouldn't worry about it being over 1000MHz HTT, it is just known to get unstable above 1000MHz HTT.

Silly boy. You will see instability when your HTT is in excess of 1000, not when it is lower then 1000. Alot of us run our HTT <1000 to help with our OC. (I used to run my HTT at 600 because the next step up was 900 which caused my NB to malnfunction).

You can run it as high as your HT link will take. Try not too far out though. I run mine at 1080, the next down is like, 800 or some crap.

I also reached 1080 HTT and stable. But I try not to hit or exceed 1100. Its better though to draw more raw bandwidth from your mem. Try a config that makes your mem run at 208 to 216 (if ddr400), it shows greater impact on benchmarks.

Consider it like an 8 lane Highway with typically 6 cars on it .. adding another 4 lanes does not help those 6 cars.

There is no noticiable benefit to OC the HTT, it should be fast enough to allow the system to Boot and not too fast to be unstable ... is best to keep it at or below 1000Mhz.
