AH! laptop doesnt do anything... ram fried?

well hi there..

I'm sure yall know my laptop from the pics in the modding threads... the pink one :-)

it used to have a little problem, sometimes when i moved it from the table onto my legs or whatever, i got a bluescreen saying some error that i never really read...
since the ram is like right on the bottom of it, only a small plastic cover protecting it, and it got very hot, too, i figured it could have a ram problem... like that it is very sensitive to movement or whatever.

so anyways.. yesterday i rebooted it cuz it had that bluescreen again when i picked it up from the floor. and when it booted up again, it said something about "amount of memory has changed" and i looked it up in windows and it said it only hat 68 mb of ram. it used to have 128.

so then i shut it down, opened the ram thingy on the bottom, took out the ram pieces, put only one in the first slot, then put that one in the second slot..... but it never booted anymore. only the power LED comes on, the hdd LED blinks once, and the caps lock, num lock, etc. LEDs keep blinking. it does that for about a minute, then shuts down.
nothing on the screen.. tried to plug in a different display, but there wasnt any picture on there either..

does anyone know what to do???

please help! poor pinky is injured...

Seems like some loose contacts? Is there any dust in there?

Unfortunately, this sounds like a hardware issue.... either overheating, or ram sockets that got loose a bit.

Can't think of anything right now.

sorry

Check if there is not some paint somewhere? Are all contacts clean?

Did it just start happening after the paint job?

If temps are a concern, look for something like this:http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16834999413

I tried to find it on a german site, but no luck... I'll keep looking for a bit

it actually worked quite a while after i painted it..
now it just doesnt anymore. all i did wsa opening the ram thingy in the back and i took out the ram modules.. and put them back in. and i took out the little bios chip, too.
but i put it all back in and it just seems like it doesnt get any power whatsoever.. theres an LED that used to blink when it was loading the batteries. but that wont even blink anymore..

its really weird.

dont know what you think i mean with the "bios chip" there was some chip thingy right next to the ram modules, got it out with a real small screw driver but it doesnt look as if it is damaged...
