You can click on my profile, and view my gallery... but here is a pic. http://cdn.overclock.net/b/bc/bcf02680_ScreenShot2012-06-28at12.57.59PM.jpeg

I used the blue coolant and have blue LED's behind some parts of the tubing (just experimenting)... also got blue cathode's (hardly turn them on)...

To be honest, I just slammed everything together in about 2-3 days... first water cooled system, and wanted to ensure everything worked. But in hindsight, I think i would have preferred clear coolant to accent the black and metal look more. Was also thinking about sleeving the tubing... take a look at this... http://cdn.overclock.net/b/bc/bcf02680_ScreenShot2012-06-28at12.57.59PM.jpeg.. and finally.. maybe just all Black tubing with some places with Clear tubing accents with LED.

All you need is distilled water and pt nuke or silver coil
if you want color get colored tubing again this is all you need.

A kill coil can be used instead of biocide?

Yep, it can.

But a kill coil can't be used as an anti-corrosive when mixing metals.

A silver coil, and nickel plated block is mixing metals, just a heads up. I noticed while looking at someones Koolance liquid link that at the bottom of every product they have a note that warns to not use silver and nickel in the same loop.

Need the blue color, and not just tubing ... Going to make some water channels in Acrylic, where the blue color will be visible, so tubing will not work there ...

The silver and nickel shouldn't actually react. The reason that Koolance and EK for that matter have started spreading that is because they wanted a scapegoat for their poor quality Nickel plating, so that if it started flaking they could point at the silver; go "There's your problem" and not honor the warranty. People have been running silver and Nickel for years without incident. It is only recently that some companies have suddenly decided that's what's making their products fail.

That said I have never heard of Koolance rejecting an RMA because of silver. I have definitely heard it from EK though.

They'll react, just the quantity of silver that is in the loop is so miniscule that it will not matter. It's like trying to change the color of the ocean by pissing into it.

You are 100% right about it being a scape-goat and/or a marketing pitch to get people to buy their coolant.

this
koolance has very little nickel plate failures. Its minuscule compared to EK failure rates.

EK is a very shoddy company that used to be awesome but sucks now. I recommend staying away from EK.
