hi guys,

i will be updating my card very soon but do not know what brand card to go for, i only want one and do not overclock. the card i have now is a Asus 5870 1gb and i have never have a singe problem with it, its been a good trooper for me.

they all vary in price and the Asus seems to be the most expensive.

im not sure what the difference is in theses cards unless its just the brand?

it shouldn't do 2 fans don't need to spin as fast as 1 fan to generate the airflow needed.

Faster the fans spin the noisier they get

The Asus CU II cooler is so good that it really don't need to spin that fast i have the GTX 680 CU II myself and it is dead silent no matter how hard i press it and it dont go above 60c no matter what
I would say go with the Asus 7970 CU II if you dont mind the size

Get the Sapphire Dual X version. Your ears will thank you. Every card you listed is a reference card in the OP. We're talking around 60dB or so under load...its a VERY loud card (I have one, and I hate the leaf blower stock cooler).

The Sapphire Dual X is one of the quietest 7970's, and they tend to overclock the best (along with the MSI Lightning and Gigabyte Windforce).

Do NOT get the Asus DC II, as those cards have a fault in them. I believe it was the VRM's, but I don't recall exactly. But something on them wasn't being cooled properly.
