So, any help?

I cant comment on the 60hz to 120hz because my eyes cant tell a difference. I think the response time is 5ms on the one I bought below.

I just bought the Yamasaki Catleap 27" LED 2560x1440. I absolutely love it! Ive played battlefield 3 on it but I suck but the graphics were incredible. Ive been playing Halo 2 ever since and its phenomenal for me. It brings me back to my glory days, just way more pixels :-)

I came from a 22" Samsung ToC Eyefinity Setup and will never go back after this monitor.

Got mine on ebay from seller green-sum for 289.99.

I can definitely tell the difference between 60hz and 120hz. If you play FPS games and have a decent graphics card you want a 120hz monitor for gaming. Motion is noticeably smoother. Some people say they can't see the difference, but maybe they weren't actually viewing the game running at 120hz @ 120 FPS.
That's why I just spent more than half a grand on a 120hz Catleap...

The Catleap is gonna' blow your suggested monitor out of the water. 27 inch at the GOOD resolution, not 1080p. IPS. Ridiculous. More info at http://www.overclock.net/t/1225919/yamakasi-catleap-monitor-club .

The Korean IPS monitors don't have a low response time. They're not dogs by any means, but if your primary concern is that you'll need a fast TN panel. Now if you're fine with a middle-of-the-road response time and the possibility of a little ghosting/blurring in some fast action games, they're a very good buy.

I play games with my Yamakasi, I don't notice ghosting nor do I notice anything particularly different. I +1 for Korean IPS panel. You'll love it.

The 1440p IPS panels are actually just as fast as many TN panels. Only a 120hz TN will truly trump the 1440p Korean IPS displays in the motion department.

The pimping of the Korean monitors is reaching mythical proportions. I took delivery of an E-IPS monitor this past week (brand new model from ASUS). Several reviews out on it already have stated its fine for gaming for an IPS and I can vouch for that, but I have no illusions about its response time capability verses a typical 2ms GTG TN. Its a little worse in ghosting than the four year old 5ms TN it replaced. IPS are of course superior in almost any other respect, but the O.P. did state that he wanted a fast response time. Modern IPS panels are perfectly adequate for almost any gaming duty, but not "fast" by current standards.
