I posted a long time ago about BT Infinity and that it was good.
As far as BT infinity goes it was perfect whilst I had it.
Had it installed in Jan this year £30 cost.
Then due to unforseen curcumstances I had to move house after 2 months.
Had to then pay BT £130 to put a phone line in the new house as it was a totaly new build.
Was then told that I would not be able to have my infinity as it isn't in the area.
Virgin was but I am in contract until Feb 2013 so thought I would wait it out (didn't think normal broadband would be that bad).
After its all up and running my speeds vary from about 1mb to 4mb at the very best.
I not can't watch youtube, netflix is impossible, and gaming can get affected quite badly especially if another computer is even browsing the internet at the same time.
I paid my line rental up in full as it was discounted doing that so I paid £120 line rental in jan as well.
Tried looking to see if my area was now going to get BT infinity soon no plans at all even until end of 2013.
All 4 towns each side of the compass now have BT infinity but they decide to leave ours out. Its not like its a small village its a propper town.
I thought sod this then will try virgin media. Rang them up today yes all of your town can have fibre optic but you can't as its a new build and were not going to put it in.
The house 10 yards behind mine can have it but I can't!! + BT want an extra £150 to cancle it anyway.
So im now paying £30 a month for internet that is just usable to browse the internet and play games off peak hours.
So in total over the year I will have paid £520 for phone and broadband that isn't even over 5MB.
