Regarding keycaps

Hey all, I know there's already a lot of posts about this already, but I couldn't find a thread that answered my specific questions about keycaps.

So basically I have a Quickfire Rapid with Cherry MX Reds, and I've only had it for a week now and keys are already getting shiny, since I use my keyboard a lot. It's actually rather frustrating.

I was thinking about buying some PBT caps, and somebody on the overclock.net marketplace is selling a set of 33 for $15.00. Is that a good deal? Would that help, even though it isn't a 'full' set?

Also my spacebar is the shiniest key. Would the WASDKeyboards ABS spacebar work on my keyboard? I measured it out and the dimensions seem right but I want to be sure. I was thinking of just ordering a few of those as back-up since they're so cheap.

Additionally, where can one go about buying PBT caps? So far I only see Qtan's shop, and mechnicalkeyboards.com has some Ducky PBT caps. Are those the only places? eBay basically only has Qtan's anyway, so there isn't much on eBay.

Thanks in advance. thumb.gif

My PBT spacebars after 6 months showed a BIT of wear.

My ABS spacebars get a shine in 6 weeks.

The new Leopolds in white should be dynamite in terms of wear but doubt Elitekeyboards will sell separately.

I've had my keyboard about 7 days now and my spacebar, among other keys, are already shiny.
