One stick of faulty ram...do i replace both

Thread Starter
Ok so I have had my build for around a year now.
Recently I have discovered that one of my RAM sticks is faulty, Ebuyer TOS for faults components is that they only give part refund.
So I am wondering if I should replace both my sticks of ram or buy one stick of the same RAM so that they still run in dual channel (if this is possible?)

Corsair 4GB (2x2GB) DDR3

Thanks !!smile.gif

Which ever one you think would work best for you. Both options are fine.

If it's a kit, Corsair will make you RMA both modules.

In the past with corsair, it was best to give corsair both sticks so that way they can give you the most update and same ver of the sticks.
for one system (AMD 754), I had two sticks of corsair v1.1 and later wanted to upgrade by added another two sticks (v 2.3) 1yr later, but the system didnt boot, and I RMA'd them both (I actually dropped it off their at their HQ) both my old sticks and new and got new identical sticks which worked.

Again, best to send in both sticks since they are covered under warranty. thumb.gif
